Tony & Vicki Reid founded Chezenko Labradors in 1990, and since then we have become involved in most aspects of the breed.  We strive towards the "total" Labrador, not losing site of the fact that Labradors are amongst the most popular family pets.  All dogs we breed from are screened for hip and elbow dysplasia, and have eye tests done annually to determine the presence of any hereditary eye diseases - all breeding decisions are made based on these results and ALL results are given to new owners.  All our stud dogs and 7 of our bitches have also been genetically tested in the USA for progressive retinal atrophy and none have tested positive for the disease.  

Our pups are all taken for character assesments at 7 weeks old, to help match pups and homes to the best of our ability, in terms of other dogs in the family, household dynamics and ambitions for the dog.

Our dogs (bred or owned by us) continue to excel in the show ring and at field trials, showing that our dogs have not lost their working ability or their looks!
